A namer is someone who is a member of their faction "in name only" -- they may wear a faction pin in public, attend meetings, offer discounts, and argue philosophy at the local tavern, but they don't fully dedicate themselves to the faction and its beliefs.
Also called "the file" (as in the rank-and-file) or "factioneers," namers typically keep their involvement with their faction to a minimum, and that's typically the way they like it. They can get away with refusing to help, but they'll likewise be unlikely to receive it later. Still, the namers make up the bulk of a faction, so it would be folly to dismiss them.
Namers all typically have their own jobs. If they choose to enlist in the faction full-time, then they become a factotum.
