An alu-fiend child named Umbra exists at the center of a tug-of-war in Sigil: her father, a high-ranking Harmonium officer, wants to raise her with his faction's ideals. Her mother, a succubus, wants to sell her to a balor with a predilection for alu-fiend slaves. She also fulfills a prophecy for the One True Being revered by a long-dead faction, the Zactars. PCs find themselves in the middle.

Background Information[]
- Per DiTerlizzi, "My wife, Angela, posed for the succubus and the child. Two of the other characters were from my gaming group and the model for the priestess owned a local comic and gaming shop. Good times."[1] Tony and Angela had only been together two years by this point, and would get married five years later.
